Do Good, Dallas: The North Texas Food Bank

We sell condos and lofts in Dallas, and we write about new restaurants and happenings in the Dallas area.  But CondoDomain Dallas also recognizes the importance of spreading the word about local organizations that support our community.

For Dallas and the surrounding areas, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is one of those organizations. They “seek to eliminate Hunger by distributing food and grocery products through a network of non-profit organizations while providing education and increasing community awareness on issues of Hunger.” These programs “benefit over 917 feeding and education programs in 13 North Texas counties, including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters, after-school programs, senior citizen centers and other social service centers. These agencies receive food from the Food Bank and distribute it to North Texans in need through their pantry and on-site meal programs.”

Did you know that 40% of the households served by NTFB feeding programs have at least one employed adult?

Did you know Texas leads the nation with the highest percentage of families who are food insecure?*

How can you help?

You can make a donation, volunteer your time, or conduct a food drive.

Check out their website at www.ntfb.org.
